SHORT informal RALLY

 

Earl has invited us to join him in Coloma, Calif. north of Placerville on highway 49 on the American River, from Sunday, July 14th thru Wednesday, July 17th, departing Thursday morning the 18th.  The camp ground is :  Coloma Resort ; 6921 Mt. Murphy Rd.: Coloma, CA 95613.   1(800)238-2298.

If enough members get reservations this year I will to my best to arrange a Guided Tour by the State Park Personnel to lead us thru the State Park across the river where Marshall discovered the first gold in California on the American River.

To sign up and make reservations go to the resort website and click the upper right corner  "BOOK TODAY”; then put in the dates you want to stay 7/14 to 7/18 (some, all or more) and reserve your sites; Then contact Earl earlansley2@gmail.com  and Stan stanscott@comcast.net and let us know what dates you’ve chosen and your site number.

They generally fill long before summer, and this one is on a first reserve basis.  

If you  are free or can free yourself up it could be a couple of fun days, not too far from home. Still there is plenty of time to get organized, just not a lot of time to act.
