"short rally" @ monterey Fairgrounds "in" 8/1 "out 8/5.
The famous Monterey Aquarium was one of the highlights of the four-day Rossmoor Roadrunners Club Rally from Aug 1 - 4th. Members also enjoyed kayaking Monterey Bay and Elkhorn Slough. Many of the twenty-two participants enjoyed sailing the Bay, hiking, whale watching and sight seeing this historic water-front City, made famous in John Steinbeck’s “Cannery Row.”
The volunteer Wagon Masters for this event were Frank and Carol Colligan. They planned and served members a great waffle breakfast with whole blueberry topping, including whipped cream and assorted juices. That evening’s dinner at the Monterey Fairground’s Clubhouse included multiple choices of all you can eat pizza, plus salad, and chocolate cake.

Please join us for an informal rally in Monterey this summer. The nightly rate is $63. The park is just 115 miles from Rossmoor. We plan to have a couple of planned meals but will leave the days free so you can enjoy Monterey the way you wish. As you all know, there is much to do and see in the area.
