Our third "hangout" of 2025 was a few days up in Columbia, California at Marble Quarry RV Park.
From this vantage point it was a short walk into the town of Columbia, which is actually a State Park. We enjoyed wandering through the well-preserved buildings and also our meals together at the very charming, Columbia Kate's Teahouse, and El Jardin Mexican Restaurant.
Some of our members explored more of the area including Sonora and Murphys

Several of us attended the Sierra Rep production, "Of Mice and Men." at the Historic Fallon House Theatre. We all agreed that this small theatre company presented a first-class production of this classic Steinbeck play.
There is talk of returning to Columbia next fall and timing it around another live theatre production.

Railtown 1897 State Park in Jamestown is a short distance from our base in Columbia, so a couple of us opted for a short train ride on the rails of the Sierra Railway. With the trees just starting to show their fall colors, October is a great time to experience a train ride in the Gold Country.
